The Deutschland-Cup Gymnastics in Halle was a full success for SV Halle in sporting terms too. In front of a home crowd, the gymnasts secured numerous medals and top placings.
Individual competitions
In age group K9, Sina Waßmann impressed. She won the bronze medal in the all-around, took 3rd place in the ball apparatus final and crowned her competition with the runner-up title in the rope apparatus final.
Victoria Voigt also delivered consistent performances, finishing 4th both in the all-around and in the two apparatus finals.
Semira Pescheck achieved a strong 6th place in the all-around, came sixth in the ball final and eighth in the rope apparatus final.
Marta Degener rounded off the good team result with 9th place in the all-around and 5th place in the ball apparatus final.
Group competitions
SV Halle could also celebrate outstanding results in the group competitions.
In the 11 to 15 years age group, the group with AnAn Le, Lilly Drechsel, Elly Grabow and guest gymnast Polina Omelchenko from Magdeburg defended their runner-up title from the previous year at their second Deutschland-Cup and once again won the silver medal.
The younger group with Clara Ernst, Emmi Jäschke, Frieda Porst and Louisa Seyffert gained valuable experience at their first Deutschland-Cup. After a successful first routine, a flawed second routine cost them a medal, yet the quartet still achieved a remarkable 4th place.
In the 15+ age group, Marta Degener, Semira Pescheck, Victoria Voigt and Sina Waßmann likewise secured the silver medal in their second year in this age group. With an expressive and cleanly presented clubs choreography, they won over both the judges and the audience and were rewarded with 2nd place.
With several podium finishes and numerous final placings overall, SV Halle looks back on an extremely successful Deutschland-Cup in its own city. The performances underline the club's excellent youth development and whet the appetite for the competitions to come.
