A historic success for SV Halle: German Youth Champions in Gymnastics and Dance

A major success for the Gymnastics/RSG department of SV Halle: at the German Youth Championships in Gymnastics and Dance on 3 and 4 October 2026 in Röbel (Müritz), the gymnasts from Halle secured two German championship titles and one runner-up title. The win in the all-around is historic in particular: it is the first German championship title in the department's history.

SV Halle was represented by Sina Waßmann, Marta Degener, Semira Pescheck, Victoria Voigt, Polina Omelchenko, Lilly Drechsel and AnAn Le in the youth age group for 11- to 18-year-olds. They were also the only participants from Saxony-Anhalt and thus represented their federal state at national level.

A total of 17 teams competed in the all-around, where the results from the two disciplines of gymnastics and dance are combined into one overall score. The SV Halle team convinced in both areas and prevailed against the competition. The outcome was the title of German Youth Champion 2026 in the all-around.

But the successful championship weekend did not end there. The eight best teams from the all-around in each discipline qualified for the gymnastics and dance finals. Here, too, the Halle gymnasts were among the national elite. In the dance final they once again made it all the way to the top: their performance earned them a second youth championship title. In the gymnastics final they completed their record with the runner-up title.

Behind these successes lies long and intensive preparation. The group had been getting ready for the German Youth Championships since the beginning of the year. For around nine months they worked on their routines, trained and refined the details before the team stepped onto the competition floor in Röbel at the start of October.

With gold in the all-around, gold in the dance final and silver in the gymnastics final, the SV Halle youth team returns to Halle from a successful German championship and writes a new chapter in the history of the Gymnastics/RSG department.
